Short version

This site stores nothing about you. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, loads no content from third-party servers and keeps no data in your browser. There are no accounts and no forms. That is also why you see no consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

Server log files

When you open this site, the hosting provider processes the technically necessary access data: IP address, time of request, the address requested, volume of data transferred, referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers. This data is required to deliver the site and to keep it running securely.

The hosting provider also turns this data into aggregate traffic figures — number of requests, number of visitors, share served from cache — and we look at those to see how much the site is used. We only ever see the totals, never the individual records, and nothing runs in your browser for this.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest in the technically sound operation of the site and in knowing how much it is used. The data is not combined with any other data and is not used to identify you.

The hosting provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare states that it discards the access logs of sites on its network within 4 hours; error logs are kept for one week. Beyond that no server-side logs of your visit are retained, and none are kept by us.

Transfer to the United States

Because the hosting provider is based in the United States, delivering this site involves a transfer of the access data described above to a third country. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and additionally relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details are in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

This site links to external services — in particular to Buy Me a Coffee for voluntary support, and to the providers of the datasets used. These links are only followed when you click them; no data is sent there beforehand. Once you have clicked, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise them, contact the address above.
